Live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard
Oh Lord, why don't we?
We all know
That people are the same wherever you go
There is good and bad in everyone
When we learn to live, we learn to give each other
What we need to survive
Together alive
so many layers blend together, here ;-) ...
Schwarzweiß und Farbe sind jeweils für sich eigensinnig und interessant ;-) ...

Well as you know from my previous photo, GP and I headed over on the Wolfe Islander III to Wolfe Island from Kingston Ontario. We love to go over, sit on the patio and enjoy the sunset while having an ale and a bite.
These leaves actually make up the covered roof on the patio of the Island Grill. The sun was setting and the leaves made an excellent frame for a photo op to see the sunset over Lake Ontario.
The sky really was this gorgeous orange colour, the photo hasn't been retouched in anyway. The previous photo was only cropped. Straight from the little S5 IS to my computer and for you to see.
I highly recommend that if you ever get to Kingston, Ontario, Canada take the time to grab the ferry (the Wolfe Islander III) at the bottom of Barrack Street just off of Ontario Street. The ride is free and you just might get to discover part of Ontario that you haven't yet seen!
Have a super day, afternoon, evening or night where ever you are in the world. After all we are all only as far away from each other here as from our chair to our monitor.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all know that I appreciate your comments, however, awards and invites are not necessary.

The library hosted a swim party for all kids 6-18 who had read over 30 books in the Texas Reading Club. There was fun in the Friendswood pool, plus grilled hot dogs by the Boy Scouts and popsicles for everyone!

Another cunningly timed high tide/sunset image for something at Clevedon I've been trying for almost a year. The only thing I changed from my original idea was to go from square crop to 5x4.
And also, thanks to Darrell for his rather flattering gallery of my work...

Pre-dawn photos of Valencia City of Arts and Sciences, I missed the blue hour in the evening because my flight from Sofia landed long after sunset, this place had been on my list of places to photograph for a long time, I tried to make the best of an early morning when some of the buildings were not directly lit. Flickr has been selecting the oddest photos to be on top lately. Anyway, more to come from this morning shoot session.
Wiki says:
The City of Arts and Sciences (Valencian: Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències; Spanish: Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) is an entertainment-based cultural and architectural complex in the city of Valencia, Spain. It is the most important modern tourist destination in the city of Valencia and one of the most relevant in Spain.
The City of Arts and Sciences is situated at the end of the former riverbed of the river Turia, which was drained and rerouted after a catastrophic flood in 1957. The old riverbed was turned into a picturesque sunken park.
Designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, the project underwent the first stages of construction in July 1996 and the finished "city" was inaugurated April 16, 1998 with the opening of L'Hemisfèric. The last great component of the City of Arts and Sciences, El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, was presented on October 9, 2005, Valencian Community Day.
Loch Drunkie, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Scotland. Loch Venachar in the distance. The three lochs forest drive is below. Taken at 400 feet with my new drone. It opens up lots of potential for landscape photography, denied by conventional views. Just one more thing to carry up the mountains.
The calmly flowing waters of a swollen Kickapoo Creek gently touch the concrete footings currently supporting the passage of this heavy, 131-car, southbound Union Pacific coal drag as its two, lead, AC six-axles ride their dynamic brakes, coasting downhill across a combination deck plate and lattice through truss bridge along the former C&NW "SI Line" outside Bartonville on a gloomy July morning. This train of loaded aluminum BethGons -- symbol CNAPW 14 -- are topped out with over 18,000 tons Wyoming's finest black diamonds; Filled at Peabody's North Antelope Mine in the state's rich Powder River Basin, these hoppers have only a few short miles left to travel before reaching their destination at NRG Energy's Powerton Generating Station near Pekin. The train will soon cross the Illinois River drawbridge and immediately make a right turn onto the IMRR and down into Crescent Yard for interchange where they'll tie down and the loads will wait for an Illinois & Midland crew to spot the cars at the plant for final dumping. Slated for decommission come the end of 2028 due to the country's relentless insistence on "cleaner" energy alternatives, Powerton is the sole remaining, actively burning coal-fired power plant to still remain standing in the greater Peoria area, outliving the facilities at Havana, Hennepin and Canton's Duck Creek (2019), and eventually the E.D. Edwards Station at Bartonville (2022). Once closed, it'll be another major hit in activity levels for a route that is already down in traffic. Twice weekly scheduled manifest service between Peoria and Clinton, IA, as needed coal, grain and ethanol unit traffic, and seasonal ballast trains are pretty much the bulk of what traverses this line.
For southbounds, this is the final, and most dramatic, crossing atop a snaky Kickapoo Creek which twists and turns beneath the rails of the Peoria Subdivision in six different locations within just about a short, two mile stretch of track. Just about a half mile back from this bridge, the train is still working through the CTC controlled interlocking at "Peoria JCT" where the Peoria Sub main to South Pekin splits from UP's "Low Line," which routes trains for Peoria area interchange into and out of their small Adams St. Yard just a short distance away on the city's southwest side. The single-tracked Peoria Subdivision, which runs south out of Nelson away from the busy Geneva Sub, uses a combination of CTC, TWC and ABS infrastructure to route what little traffic runs down this line and is also the only class 1 of four that has a "through route" through the city. A line that does not get much attention from photographers, an older "winged" EMD SD70ACe on the point of a well timed coal load just was enough for me to grab the camera and quickly pick it off at this very seldom shot location.
I sure could do without that walkway.

The newest round of Necrosis (March 26 - April 9) is almost here! Be My Mannequin? Pose Store, in collaboration with Her Geek Spot, has TWO exclusive poses (and a FATPACK including both!) Here, I'm wrapped up in the second of the two poses: In Pain, In Need.
With your purchase you are given the couples pose and three tentacles: one for your right leg, left leg, and the couples waist tentacle (that can be adjusted for single use!).
You have the option to rez them out or attach them to your avatar directly from your inventory! However, while you can rez them out, it will increase your land impact depending on which and what size tentacle you rez out from moderate to severe. So my recommendation would be to add them directly to your avatar and adjust accordingly.
I LOVE that the tentacles AND pose come copy/mod so you can adjust the shape as needed to fit any humanaid avatar!
I found that this couples pose is very creative and fun to work with and you'll definitely find yourself smirking a bit as you try it out yourself. I daresay you'll find your imagination twisting just like those realistic, detailed tentacles!
Definitely come down to Necrosis which opens TOMORROW, March 26, and runs until April 9! You won't be disappointed!

"OH CRAP!!"
The neophyte stared in horror as not only his own mentor but one of the high ranking elders of their order as well were lifted up into the air by the tentacles bursting forth from the book! Water was splashing everywhere as the tentacle around their waist squeezed hard, another shooting out and wrapping around his mentor's left leg.
A couple minutes ago, the neophyte was about to practice a summoning spell; a simple one really that would summon an octopus through the portal in the book. Instead, he'd accidentally summoned a monstrous creature that was reaching through the book!
"Make it stop! Grab the book!" his mentor shouted to him.
"Right! Which book?!"
"The brown one! The one that says- Ah damn!" he cursed as the tentacle around his waist squeezed hard. "The brown one that says 'PORTAL MAGIC' on my desk!" Opposite him and pressed to his chest was his own Master, the Elder. He'd come as a surprise to see how the newest member of their order was coming along in his studies....only for this to happen. How mortifying!
Behind him, the neophyte hurried to the desk and found the book and held out the book and began flipping through the pages. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" he reiterated as he tried to find the right page. "Okay! I found it!"
"Don't tell me! Just do it or I'm going to turn you into a mouse and feed you to the cat!"
As he began to recite the spell, he heard his mentor cry out in surprise as another tentacle wrapped itself around his right leg, pulling his legs apart....
And suddenly the tentacles gave a big jerk and then loosened as they began to retreat back into the book with a deafening groan coming from the beast on the other side of the book's pages. With a splash, the tentacles retreated into the book and both teachers lay panting on the floor in the massive puddle of sea water.
The neophyte swallowed hard, wide eyed as he tossed the spell book aside and ran for the soaked book on the floor. Grasping it, he slammed it shut and held it tightly to his chest as he gazed down at the two of them. On the floor, his mentor opened his eyes and scowled at him as he lay there staring at him upside down in the water.
"Please don't turn me into a mouse, Sir."
"You are going to clean this up. ALL of it. Then you will be writing the incantation until your fingers fall off!"
"Wait...you're not going to turn me into a mouse?"
"I haven't ruled it out yet!"
Standing, the mentor reached out to assist his own Master to stand. "I'm so sorry, Master. The fault is my own for not-"
The Elder sighed and accepted the help to stand as water poured off his robes, then cut him off by saying, "Stop apologizing and go get some towels before I turn you into a pigeon, myself."
The mentor's eyes widened and ran out the door. Once he was gone, the Elder looked over at the neophyte who paled and shrank a little where he stood. He was so sure he was going to scolded like he'd never been scolded before! Instead, the Elder stared for a long moment before he smirked slightly. "Don't worry about him. When he was your age, he summoned a massive flock of pigeons who relieved their bowels all over the library. He was cleaning it for weeks. I think I'll go remind him."
The neophyte blinked and then let out a relieved laugh as the Elder patted his shoulder and headed for the door. Okay, so maybe things would be okay after all.

Thank you to Vin Raven-Mysterious and Logan Owle for posing with me as the Elder (Vin) and Neophyte (Logan)!

Hard and Soft: In this photo of sunset in the Alabama Hills/Lone Pine, CA, I love the contrast between the hard bumpy texture of the rocks and boulders compared to the soft flowing lines of the sunset sky. You get a feeling of calm after navigating through the rocks.

Amicia and Hugo:
"Hugo! Where are you?"
"I'm here. I'm close."
"I can't see you! I'll do whatever it takes! I want... to see you."
"Are you sure?"
"You just keep on fighting! We tried that way, and it was a lie. It's not the right way; you know that."
"I don't know, Hugo!"
"It brought death, Amicia. And I brought death too! It's the mistake I made... and what I've become."
"I've seen you fight so many times. You still won't back down, will you, Amicia?"
"It's us or them! I have no choice!"
"You have a choice... but it scares you."
"We need to fix this Amicia!"
"We'll find a solution! I promise, Hugo!"
"You keep saying that. But there's only one solution now."
"You’re the only one who can stop me... from becoming a monster," Hugo said.
"You’re not a monster!"
"I will be…" replied the boy, "if I kill all I love."
Amicia learns what it is to sacrifice all she loves... and she kills her little brother who she loved so much, when he asks her to, because it was the only way to stop the Plague, or the Macula in the boy's blood would never cease killing... killing other people! And what was the life of one boy, to the lives of hundreds? What does the life of one child mean? And what does love mean? Did Amicia ever answer these questions?
And so Amicia slings the stone.
This is a collaboration between Joe (jnj_bricks) and I, built for the Labour of Love category of Brickscalibur. I haven't slept in a while so I should go to sleep now, but later you can see more of the terrain, more of the Rats' Nest, and maybe some behind the scenes. I'm really excited for this build! It looks awfully small, but I had to carry it down the stairs... and I know it weighed a lot! It's huge.
I have to mention that I was very inspired by Josh DeMoss's piece of music from the Symphony of Construction, I listened to it while I was building and it gave me the chills. And of course the music from A Plague Tale: Requiem. It was so beautiful, and touching, and deadly...
I have no words to describe A Plague Tale.
To God Be The Glory, and may you seek Him when you find yourself sad and troubled, like Amicia and Hugo, instead of getting lost...
I hope you like it!

Driving and hiking 2 miles above sea level, started to feel some effects of altitude sickness. This is another view from the White Mountain Range looking back to the Eastern Sierra (on the other side of Owen's Valley). Astonishing that there was so little snow.
I hiked to the summit once with a friend, in July, and there was frankly more snow then. Blog of that hike is here.

The crow and the turtle,
drift through my dreams.
Chasing away the nightmares,
fighting back the screams.
Carrying my prayers to heaven
as I falter in my earthly means.
Yet the wolf sneaks in
crafty to extremes.
The crow returns from on high,
its secrets, it screams.
The wolf in sheep's clothing
is not always what it seems.
Great spirit answers you
by showing truth in dreams.
The sheep are not your people
unsow your seams.
The wolf is who you are,
the great spirit deems.
Family strength and spiritual power
are your gift and means.
The crow caws,
shed your weakness's
and stand
in great spirits presence,
as it beams..
May my strength flow like a river,
may my knowledge turn to sight
as Crow and Turtle
drift in my dreams.

Forever and ever - Demis Roussos
Ho scelto di pubblicare questa foto oggi per ricordare Demis Roussos ex solista degli Aphrodite’s Child che con le sue canzoni ha accompagnato parte della mia vita..
It's just a walk upon old familiar terre
In reality or just a mind full of air
Either way it bodes so well for today
Onward walking through wooded way
Those natural haunts of Autumn tones
Where, in days of yore I've exercised these self same bones,
Through Weald and Bocage, Fen and Marsh
Pain knew a substitute that couldn't be so harsh
As to fail the emotional calling
Of a palingenesis He is installing
What chance to be able to step forward once more,
It could be you or me that greets the dawn of season's rapport
We know those that went before and forget not Nature's forebears
Those that make and those that take all lose their leaves and wares
In these parts together is the leaf fall awaiting us all
Hear the roasted acorns drop two to a dozen, into the lake they fall
From one Oak to two, their fruits eventually share the same ripple
With entwining outstretched legacies they triple
And beyond a score to wonder at touching rich dividends
Where seedlings prosper away from roturier trends
This is the Wensum Autumn, not so foreign
If it's happened once it's happened for millions of Her children
Autumn leaves spare Autumn seeds for future needs
Hungry hunting Winter nourishes upon mighty Oaks glorious deeds
That well endowed bough of England's backbone
Fed the island's ambitions wherever England's rose was sown
But our Oaks are more than that, they are the embodiment of life
Terricolous to the core, a heartland assurance for all wildlife
And so I kept walking to the morning crunch of a million breakfast's underfoot
Beech before me, Holly beside, Oak above and beyond anything hard put
Rich is the world of our peace-seeking missive
The one He believes She is the Queen precursive
Of all we see and can ever hope to belief in
In our midst through the fogs of time is another world within
More steps taken toward the sympathy of October light
It could be anywhere but here will surely do nicely to invite
My very self to Nature's vocational reverence
I feel undenied, at last beyond life's inherence!

Pinto and Levi, our educational therapy dogs, in front of another Anat Ronen mural outside the library at Southmayd Elementary School, just after the Summer School class had graduated. I love Anat Ronen's work...
I met these beautiful girls early this morning in the Forest. Phill was away with a friend so I took off early this morning before the tourists arrived (it is a bank holiday weekend here and the weather is glorious). I was actually taking photos of the deer behind the dogs but couldn't resist these gorgeous girls. Their owner was taking them through some obedience training when we met. They were excellent pupils. One more in the comments below
“May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.”

Last night it snowed and shut much of our city down. We are not equipped to handle snow and ice. With that, work stayed closed and I opted to visit some abandon houses nearby. I've taken pictures of this house before, but I decided that a new lens and new weather could culminate in a new idea for a picture. I often wonder about the last people who lived in these houses and why they are abandoned. Well, here's to wondering.
If you like this photo, please feel free to leave a comment or fave.

Myself and Basil after we ran out of cheese and his accidentally head butted me coming out of the reservoir! Ouch
On a early February morning back in 2010 I left the house with no Direction, I just knew I wanted to watch the sun come up over the bay. I ended up at this spot along the bay that I had driven by many times before, and was treated to a beautiful moment..
Its interesting to look back on images... The RAW information is the same, its how we process it thats different. On this day, I had no direction.... A year later, I knew exactly where I was headed...
I stood and watched a foggy, cloudy sunrise on this cold morning... A year later... The bay air was warm, and clearer than I had ever seen it....
Thank you...
