3/30/2017 - SAS ELementary 4-H Tap Trees
On Thursday, March 30th, 2017, members of the SASCS-ES 4-H Club had the unique opportunity to implement the skills taught in 4-H club into real-world scenarios. This included the tapping of maple trees in the Elementary School’s very own front yard! Students handled tools, tapped the trees, and were able to taste the natural sap from the maple trees themselves. This provided students with firsthand experience with one of New York’s oldest traditions, and exposure to the natural world!
