Baby Robin
I went to take the dog for a walk and got dive bombed by all the adult robins. They were squawking like mad, all their feathers on their heads were straight up and they looked demented.
I locked the door thinking, what the hell is up with the birds when I felt Rosie tugging on the leash.
I looked down and she was straining to get to a baby robin, sitting in a pool of panic on the step.
Quickly, I put Rosie in the car and grabbed my gardening gloves and came back. When I picked up the bird, it flew a short distance away, into the lawn. The crows and crackles were circling around and the adult robins were dive-bombing them instead, now that I'd put Rosie out of the picture.
I went back to the lawn and the little baby robin asked me for food. Um, no, little one. I picked him/her? up and this time it didn't fly off, so I put it carefully up as high as possible as I could, but I couldn't reach the nest.
Close enough, I thought, and went off for the walk and to the bank. When I came back, the baby had moved around to a better spot in the tree, still not in the nest. No sign of the other baby.
I shot these images while I had the access.
