Show and Tell April 2011
A member showed off this fabulous project (and then didn't write her name down!) -- inspired by the talk about dyeing with Buffy Taylor from Shelridge Farms.
In that discussion, natural dyes were stated to not be vibrant enough and not colour-fast enough (for regular production).
This member took it as a personal challenge, and went on to explain the various natural dyes she used, including madder, onion skins and many others (didn't take notes, bad me!) to get the vibrant and lovely colours she used.
After dyeing (and possibly spinning, I really should have taken notes!) the yarns, she created this modular jacket to show them off.
