Debbie New: Straight Lines Be Gone
Debbie is of course a freeform knitter and has pioneered the technique. In this garment, she noted that some straight lines are both possible and desireable (the stems and leaves of the flowers) but that the rounder shapes of the flowers prohibit any straight lines being formed without a concerted effort.
The idea of the curve and circle was repeated throughout the evening, in many of her works, including all the wearable garments.
