Archer Hat out of Felt

This is a heavily improvised hat. There are so many ways it could be better, but it fits him, and it looks like an archer hat, and he wanted it to be glittery with a yellow feather, so darn it all, it is.

To make it better - seam the brim separately, use something other than felt craft squares (ha!).

The front of the cap is actually quite nice, once I realized I needed to seam it tighter at the tip and worked out how to actually achieve that. The biggest problem when not working from a pattern is you're not working from a pattern, and there are things you need to figure out!

The feather is also improvised, but I really like how it turned out. I was going to put a pipe cleaner or wire down the centre, but it worked out fine as two layers of craft felt sewn together in a feathery (also improvised, ha!) shape and then cut out.

To do the FEATHER better, I'd have figured out where to stop for the centre bit, and probably gone a bit wider on the edges so they could be cut out more. But all in all, I really like the feather.
