Spun Up!

Finally finished the plying. Ended up with two skeins as the first bit of spinning was just rough and broke too easily, so I plied it together and the good stuff together. I really noticed how rough it was at the end of plying when I had some of the older bits falling apart.

I think I may try all batts from the fold, it seems to work WAY better!

Plus, for whatever reason, batts seem to be far more affected by humidity.

I'm thinking that the nature of a batt (carded) versus a combed top is that the mixed fibres and humidity just tangle a lot easier, so it doesn't draft as smoothly and there are more clotted areas.
