Mosaic Swatches Blocking

Apparently I have some issues making things square.

The Cascade 220 Superwash is really drapey after washing. I'm glad I knit the blocks 23x23cm because they are stretched to the intended 25x25cm without any effort at all on my part. To be honest, they may even be bigger with the drapiness.

We'll see how they seam up. Yes I have 5.

I think this style is VERY much easier than colourwork. The results are nicer, fabricwise, in the garter stitch, but that's a little harder to knit with the yarn moving back and forth.

The stockinette side is really nice. There are still some issues with tension that colourwork can have, too, but it's a very nice effect.

There are some tricks to designing, I learned, and I didn't try to do the shadow/escheresque designs, which probably have their own tricks.

Tall wants a hat made of the gray/black pattern. People at the Stitch 'n' Pitch in Toronto were excited by the "little green men".

I feel confident I have another technique in my pocket!
