H1N1 and Social Media

A really fascinating discussion on tracking H1N1 sentiment and concern and using social media and the web to react on the fly so Canadians got the information they needed when they needed it. A forthright and revealing discussion about the realities of government restrictions and how social media allowed them to buy text ads in Facebook, and tweet to redirect attention to the relevant content on the website when they couldn't use the website itself to redirect within it.

Alex Langshur of PublicInsite was on hand to explain how they used the data to identify issues and to ensure they were reaching who they needed to reach and could justify their tactics.
