Fine Gauge Spindling
Everything I spin seems to get finer and finer gauge. Also more consistent, of course, as I'm still very much learning (only 4oz of fluff spun).
I started this one today and it's finer gauge again. I feel really "right" at this gauge, but I don't want to have to spin for years and ply 15 strands together to get a dk weight yarn out of it!
I'll keep this one fine, but then for the BFL, I'm going to try to consciously and purposefully make an even thicker yarn.
(When I go thicker, the evenness is totally absent, so I stop, unspin it, redraft it and spin it finer to be smoother and more consistent).
So much to learn.
Still really like the merino, though, it's a pleasant spin.
