Spindling Spunky Eclectic
This is the organic merino, colourway Tahiti. Some parts are really pink, others are salmon, red, orange, white...
I like to think of the pink as "light red" and so, it is wonderful all over.
This is a significantly different spinning experience compared to the corriedale/alpaca/shetland blend.
It's of course far shorter a staple, so drafting is quick, but it's also far finer so the single is fo far quite a bit smoother.
I'm aiming for fingering weight when plied, but after doing a bit of research last night and tonight, I think I may try for a 3 ply yarn, and so work up three bobbins and try plying them by winding all three onto a ball winder at once (an unplied 3 ply) and then plying them from there on the spindle (or a larger makeshift one).
Experimentation is fun!
