Original Sketch for Patternless Hat
The original sketch for the Patternless Hat, though I'd no clue about the decreasing, nor how to actually place the intarsia (which I didn't know what it was nor how to solve it) and basically it was a fiasco all around.
What did I do wrong:
1. cotton not wool (winter hat)
2. different gauges of yarn (worsted and sport weight)
3. size not taken into consideration (just cast on 96 and hoped for the best)
4. left ends for "intarsia" section and sewed them up tight causing wicked puckering
5. didn't decrease for the top, which could be fine and certainly isn't a wrong wrong, but nonetheless was done out of ignorance and loss, and makes the little patches hit the wrong part of the head
6. abandoned knitting for 3 years afterwards because of the shame
But hey, yeah, nice, eh? :D
