As the Argos came in, fireworks were let off. The giant plume eventually spread throughout the SkyDome (now Rogers' Centre, apparently) and you could taste the fireworks. They are also rigged to go off whenever there is an Argo scoring play, but thankfully there was only one field goal.
The exhibition game against the Hamilton TiCats was hilariously misplayed. The TiCats routed them 31 to 3 in front of a home crowd. The kids got discount tickets through the Argos "Huddle Up Against Bullying" campaign so Sheridan and I went.
It was a lot of fun, but the Argos played atrociously, incomplete passes all over the field, usually to empty spaces, or worse, off into the crowd. Terrible playing.
