Deadvlei at sunrise... There is something surreal about this white salt clay pan with its black, 500-year-old dead trees. They are preserved camel thorn trees in complete aridity. The contrast of the surrounding red-coloured sand dunes fascinated me enormously. Then there is the magic of the light - it is a play between light and shadow, a natural spectacle of the most beautiful kind.

Es sind konservierte Kameldornbäume in der völligen Trockenheit. Der Kontrast der umliegenden rotgefärbten Sanddünen hat mich enorm fasziniert. Dazu kommt noch die Magie es Lichts - es ist ein Spiel zwischen Licht und Schatten, ein Naturschauspiel vom Schönsten.
