yoga photography : a self-portrait?

FUNDRAISER PROJECT

 

Over the last few weeks, I have been taking and retouching many beautiful photographs of Ashtanga yoga practitioners during Mysore practice as well as on individual photo shoots for a fundraiser project.

 

108 images will be featured in an ASHTANGA YOGA CALENDAR / diary booklet 2011 produced and contributed by Lorna Moy-Masaki (graphic art & design) and myself (design concept & photography) as a fundraiser project for a dear fellow yoga teacher who's been having serious health and life challenges. All proceeds of the sales go directly to him to help cover his medical expenses and living situation.

 

ASHTANGA YOGA CALENDAR 2011

- 5.5 x 8.5", horizontal, spiral bound, card stock cover, and vellum cover

- 60 pages, all in color

- 108 images taken at the Ashtanga Yoga Center and Swami's Beach

- calendar grid with moon days, important yoga events and holidays, poems

 

$18 +tax/ship.

Available early December 2010.

PS: Every so often, I rub my hands until I feel the electricity, then place my hands on the body part where the liver is located, and I say THANK YOU DEAR LIVER for doing such a great job day in day out, keeping my system clean and healthy and vibrant.

 

Difficult and challenging when the liver starts to fail...
