Gateway To The Angels

Upon hearing news from various sources that this wondrous and peaceful courtyard will be ripped away from Disneyland guests, I had to stop by to grab some more memories of my favorite spot in New Orleans Square.

While I was taking photos of the court, a family walked up to me and exclaimed that I'd be the perfect person to volunteer myself as their photographer so they could get a group shot on the stairs. Naturally, I obliged. They informed me that for upwards of twenty years, their family tradition has been to commemorate each Disneyland trip with some portraits inside New Orleans Square. The court isn't just an alluring space, inviting guests to relax and enjoy the artfully crafted details in a setting that transports us from the mundane, it has a unique heritage of belonging to every guest who makes it a point to take time out of rushing from one ride to the next. It's a shame that these wrought iron gates will be closed to all except the wealthiest (Club 33) patrons.

Long live Court De Anges!
