gcpoyt: running away

Me. Age five. Elliot Lake, Ontario. Running away.

 

Realizing I will need supplies, I pack a suitcase. It contains a single action figure.

 

Being winter, I dress appropriately in boots, mittens, and a scarf.

 

I am wearing nothing else.

 

My mother, who takes this photo, is very supportive.

 

My father, on the couch in the background, seems less than concerned.

 

I open the door.

 

There is a full-on blizzard outside.

 

I go downstairs and play with my action figure.
