This young boy was making fine gravel from rocks with his family just to smoothen out the cracks on the road reaching to the Kheerganga trek, so that people like us from the cities could experience a glimpse of the raw nature. But what I was struck by was his smile; the shy smile. Even in the late evening after spending the entire day with such tiring work, he could manage to have this pleasant smile, though too shy to look into the camera.
Such a face at the end of the day is rare in the city where I come from. Obviously it’s the mountains and the valleys, which apart from being the backdrop of this picture, are the real contributors to nurture such innocent souls.
The mystic Himalayan region , more so the Himalayan people give you this unique perspective for the journey you are upto and the bigger journey of life!
