Yesterday was the full eclipse. Here is a sliver shot just before totality. I was using the R-10 with a 100-500 SCM zoom lens on it.. if you have seen the R-10 you will have noticed it's body is smaller than the mirrored 90-D ( which I should have used )
This also makes it's a little harder to use for me with the big lens because the buttons on the back are crammed together. Camera was on a tripod. So when I took hold of the camera to adjust it's position toward the eclipse my palm hit one of those buttons and changed the settings I was using It also has touch screen which I have been trying to disable ( pain in the backside ) because you can touch the screen and do the same thing so I am careful not to. Well. lone story short, I lost the picture just before totality. the screen went black and it took me a good ten minutes to correct what an accidental bump with the hand caused. By that time it was over with. It was a fantastic thing to see, the temps dropped, you could feel the change almost instantly and it did get twilight dark. for about 4 minutes. it was a once in a lifetime experience.
On that note I will finish saying this. The mirrowless cameras are good, they take fantastic photos but they are touchy, very touchy. because Canon crammed everything together on a small body.
