CT Plus SD5 on route 388 in Bishopsgate
Route 388 was born in 2003 and was one of the new routes created to improve bus services when congestion charging was introduced. It ran from Hackney Wick to Mansion House, largely mirroring route 8 but giving Victoria Park Road a bus service.
In 2004 it was extended to Blackfrairs Station, and in 2008 to Temple Station and then Embankment. It was cut back to Blackfrairs in 2012 and then extended to Stratford City in the east during 2013.
Most of the buses on the route are East Lancs bodied Dennis Tridents but there are a few Scania N230UD Omnicities such as SD5 seen in Bishopsgate.
