London General (Metrobus) 952 on route 405 in Croydon
Despite travelling well beyond the TfL boundaries to Redhill, route 405 became a TfL route in 2001. Before that it was a commercial route operated by London and Country.
It was initially operated by Connex but a new contract in 2003 awarded it to Metrobus. It was initially operated from Crawley Garage, moved to Godstone and then to Croydon.
952 is a very late model East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N230UD and it is seen in Croydon High Street. Most Omnidekkas were built on the previous N94UD chassis.
