Sam Houston Park Downtown Houston
As the new century began in 1900, Mayor Sam Brashier bought the Kellem-Noble land and house on the edge of town to create Sam Houston Park –the city's first. By 1910 it had been landscaped into a Victorian delight with an old mill, a stream, a rustic bridge, and paths. Sam Houston Park has been the home of The Heritage Society since 1954
