•All Alone In Paradise•

I discovered this place the last week of October and through my departure about 7 weeks later, I likely spent upward of 10 hours here, with each visit seemingly lasting longer than the previous one.

Marsh Creek runs along the Maryland Pennsylvania border and I seemed to mainly stay in the area around Barlow, Pennsylvania which is part of a township that's between Gettysburg and the Mason-Dixon line. This place is really hard to find on a map if unfamiliar the land. It's a lot of large farms and private areas (such as the tiny community over the falls) with little or no direct access.

On my last visit in late November, a police officer told me the land was mainly private summer cabins with a few year round residents or at least caretakers. I don't think I visited once without seeing someone burning leaves or working on something out front. No one said anything to me and I hardly ever received even a look.

This was early evening on Halloween and the leaves I captured a week earlier had been washed away by a storm. Fortunately all the rain created a heavy overflow which provided the amazing streaks and patterns in the water. I always regretted not getting closer to the falls than this side of the shore or even trying to contact someone on the other side about coming over there for an hour or two. I managed to change my positioning a bit with each visit but was always trying to be as discreet as possible.
