Closed gates
In Katsikas camp near Ioannina, Greece, refugees blocked the main gate to raise a strike for several days. They were frustrated about the living conditions in the camp - especially with the fact, that the future of their medical care was completely uncertain, since the responsible NGO "Médesins sans frontieres" decided to end their service there. Greek authorities didn't react on the complaints.
Since there was no police and no private security company, NGO-staff had to bargain with the strikers and the Greek authorities, until the problem was solved after several days. Since there is nothing to do at the camp anyway, some men chose Volleyball as their favorite pastime.
