instant declutter workaround

i have heaps of icons on my desktop so sometimes when i write, i need a super blank page inc. the background.

 

so i just create a new empty folder, and let it fill the screen, like a backdrop or curtain. whew! no more clutter to distract me.

 

2000 words to go, ouch.
