14th December - beginning to look rather festive
Today I finally finished my mini obsession of the past week or so - the miniature knitted stripy stockings for the four of us. I think they look rather fabulous hung up on our big wooden mirror above the fireplace. Nick describes it as looking "very Kirstie", which I'm not sure he meant as a compliment but I most certainly took as one.
I then devoted a further hour to the project by attempting to embroider our names on the stockings, which kind of worked. I do realise that I've now committed to making a further one for the baby at some point over the next year, but not yet. I've still got scarves for each child plus one other secret knitting project to complete in the next couple of weeks.
