snowdrops!
The first flowers from my neighbor's yard. She is so sweet and always gives me bouquets (I am better at capturing beauty than at gardening). She says she saw them as early as Sunday, but I just noticed them Friday.
The snow's almost gone, the grass that was hidden under it is green (it was covered with snow so long it didn't have a chance to turn brown), the geese are flying north, there are snowdrops, and other early flowers are pushing their way up. Dare I say "spring is here"?
I haven't seen a red-winged blackbird yet. Maybe I'll wait to say it's "officially" spring then. What are your favorite signs of spring?
