The Jetty

It’s been another cloudy, cold and windy weekend on the South Coast of the UK so no sunsets to had so I decided to explore my local harbour and try some long exposures.

 

I came across this old jetty in Langstone Harbour, Hayling Island, Hampshire and felt the different textures from the rust and seaweed on the metal grating made an interesting composition!

 

I shall return to this spot again when the light and colours are better as I feel this could create an interesting sunset capture.

 

30 second exposure using B+W 6 stop ND filter + Lee 0.9 + 0.3 ND grad filters over the sky.
