Meeting Dawn At The Old Mill (Explore 29-12-2013)

Made an early start on this cold and frosty morning and captured the sunrise over the Old Mill at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire.

Sadly the reflections were not as good as my last visit but found a bit of colour!

A bit of history about this famous location - Langstone Mill was built in circa 1730 and continued working until the end of the 19th century. By the first World War it was being used as a residence. By 1932 it was purchased by Flora Twort, a Hampstead artist, who lived there for many years. Its best known visitor was the author Nevil Shute who stayed there many times during the Second World War.

1.6 second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.
