Hills in India

In the past, Summer Hill has offered residence to Mahatma Gandhi, who stayed here the Gerogian mansion of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur [3] during his Shimla visits [4]. Also known as the Potter's Hill [3], these pine and deodar ladden slopes have many quaint residences, like one belonging to the family of noted painter Amrita Shergil [5] (1913-1941).
