Broad Leaved Willowherb

This plant is slender and likes semi shaded places and usually has just a few pink flowers with four deeply notched petals arranged in a cross. Despite the plant’s name, the oval leaves are not particularly wide, but are broader than those of similar species. The rounded, slender stems are reddish, and the flowering period is May until August and the seed pods are long slender capsules with a purplish tinge, producing fluffy seeds.
