Last Run of the Venice Branch
The East Penn crew and two others pose at the head end of the ex-PBNE switcher as the final pages in the history of the Venice Branch are turned. Two signs marking the end of service on this old rickety Reading branch line have been signed by the crew and given to the two gentlemen on the ground.
A pile of old rusty rail is stacked up alongside the main track. A sign of things to come? This remains to be seen.
