ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਧੁੱਪ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਿ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ- ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਰੇ ਇਨਕਲਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ 'ਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ, ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਨਾਮਣਾ ਖੱਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਇਨਕਲਾਬ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਬਰੇਜ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਖ਼ੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ 'ਚ ਦੋ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਜਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ - ਸੂਰਜੀ ਛੱਤ 'ਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਸੂਬੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਛੱਤ (63 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ) ਲਈ ਪੇਡਾ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਨੋਡਲ ਏਜੰਸੀ ਦਾ। ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਸ 'ਚ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਇੱਕ ਛੱਤ 'ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਵਾਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਨਵ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਿਆਉਣਯੋਗ ਊਰਜਾ ਮੰਤਰਾਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਭਵਨ 'ਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।

Punjab was also awarded a Special Award for Dera Beas World's largest rooftop solar plant on single roof in Beas, Amritsar. These Awards have been given by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
