rhubarb and strawberry pie

a short break from europe photos, to show you this! its currently cooling off on the pantry.

 

its rhubarb from the garden and local strawberries.

 

i made the pie myself from a really vague recipe from my grandmother. i didnt check before i started melting the vegetal shortening; i was running out of flour! i was almost squeazing the bag for more!

but i did make it through and hopefully this pie is good.

 

the crust doesnt look too bad for a second attempt (in a lifetime?) i shall make you more often, pie crust.

 

 

 

 

maybe it sounds obnoxious but i never "really" fail at cooking / baking.
