Daybreak
On the Tuesday, we got up early and left the house before light so that we'd be up at Castlerigg as the sun came up. Of course, the sun had Helvellyn to climb too before it got to us, so the sky was filled with rather pretty colours for quite a while.
This is the only one of those morning shots that I bothered to keep - the others were all a bit rubbish because I was using my wide angle but haven't yet got any filters or ND for that lens, so the sky was blown out every time. I retreated to my kit lens with the cokin graduated thing but then of course, couldn't fit all of this wonderful ancient monument into the frame.
I did go back on my way home on the Wednesday, but not at daybreak.
