Loch Lomond Island
This is one of four large prints I have up at The Hillary Step in Manchester until the start of January 2016. The display is called "Out in all elements" and features pictures I've taken to represent air, fire, earth and (this one) water.
This will be the first of many, many pics from my walk up the West Highland Way last week (96 miles from Glasgow to Fort William) Our first day had been totally gorgeous walking weather: sunny but not too warm, but Sunday saw a big bank of rain come in pretty much all day. We started off from Balmaha and walked up past Millarochy Bay (this pic was taken just before that) through to Rowardennan and on to Inversnaid where we finished for the night. I hadn't taken my proper camera with me because of the rain: this was taken on my "handbag camera" - my little Pentax Optio. I haven't yet taken any pics off my DSLR, hence starting with this from Day #2.
