TRUE ADVENTURES, March 1957. Cover by Mort Kunstler (as Martin Kay)
The great illustration and historical artist Mort Kunstler did hundreds of cover and interior paintings for men's adventure magazine. Most were credited under his name, but he also used two pseudonyms. The most common one was Emmett Kaye. But sometimes he used the pen name Martin Kay. One of the classic Kunstler cover paintings that was originally credited to "Martin Kay" by a men's pulp magazine was this one, on the cover of the March 1957 issue of TRUE ADVENTURES. If you'd like to read my interview with Mort Kunstler about his work for men's adventure magazines, here's a link to part 1 - bit.ly/qtTsNc
