Mount Augustus Cave Hill Trail to Goordgeela lookout – 4km return (2 hours).

 

Mount Augustus (Burringurrah) is the world’s largest monocline and biggest rock. It is twice as big as Uluru (Ayres Rock) in the Northern Territory. Mount Augustus rises 1106 metres above sea level, it is 8 km long, covers 4795 hectares. It is 1700 million years old and still covered in vegetation, unlike Uluru.
