Smiles in front of Auschwitz crematorium

Crematorium operated at Auschwitz from August 15, 1940 until July 1943. According to calculations by the German authorities, 340 corpses could be burned every 24 hours after the installation of the three furnaces. From the early months of 1942 until the spring and summer of 1943, four new buildings with gas chambers and crematorium furnaces came into use in Birkenau concentration camp.

I have racked up a shocking range of outrageous behaviours in Auschwitz and other sacred sites. Please, see my album : www.flickr.com/photos/studiodobs/albums/72157712830996301
