Dunes
Ceará is one of the 27 states of Brazil, located in the northeastern part of the country, on the Atlantic coast. The state capital is the city of Fortaleza.
The state is best known for its extensive coastline, with 600 kilometers (370 mi) of sand, immense sand dunes and endless beaches, extending as far as the eye can see.
The sandy, coastal plain, with a width of 12 to 18 miles (19 to 29 km), is nearly bare of vegetation.
For tourists, the dune buggy is the only way to ride along the beaches, so this means of transport fully conquered the Ceará shores which are very difficult to access.
