Sapphire & Emerald

Another vast and beautiful lake buried like a hidden sapphire gem deep within the Rocky Mountains, on the way to Johnston Canyon (near Banff), our first stop of the day on our mountain trip the Friday before last.

 

This was another that was shot from the passenger side window of the car as Lisa drove.

 

At this point, there were virtually no clouds in the sky, which made for such a striking contrast against the earth tones of the mountains and trees!

Done
