In The Court Of The Christmas King
A glass chess set (picked it up for 3 dollars at a local flea market one weekend last November and the photographic opportunities, not to mention the games of chess, it has provided have made it priceless!), a decorated and lit-up Christmas tree, a glass table, macro mode focus, and various flash, ISO, and white balance settings made this one little set-up a rich mine of photo possibilities.
I must have shot a thousand photos of this glass chess set last December under various lighting conditions and set ups (in front of the fireplace, in front of the Christmas tree, under the bright kitchen lights, on my deck table with natural backdrops, etc) and this is one of the results I am most proud of, although, truth be told, it was really hard choosing this one image to upload tonight out of all the cool shots I took!
I guess I'll just have to keep uploading more!
I had actually almost completely forgotten about this until I started looking through the photos I took over the Holidays and came across all these cool chess set experiments!
Hope you all enjoy it!
