Enviro 213 and the redcurrant bush

Has this bus got lost in the Highlands somewhere? You wouldn't believe we're just 10-15 minutes or so from the centre of Edinburgh would you? In a scene that could be in the heartlands of Perthshire it's actually the terminus for Service 10 at Torphin. The succulent redcurrant bush in this turning circle is beautiful and the berries look nearly ripe for the making of redcurrant jelly soon.

From Falkirk, this is Alexander Dennis's Enviro 400 Hybrid, number 213 (SN61 BCE), one of fifteen new vehicles Lothian has purchased with support from a £5million fund from the Scottish Government as part of a Scottish Green Bus foundation to promote eco-green public transport.

Lothian's new Hybrids are painted not in the usual red and white 'classic' livery but in Radiance Red over Winter Gold i.e. the standard weinrot und weis colours are changed for a pearlescent paint version.

If you would like to view all of Lothian's Enviro fleet then follow this set which is in numerical order:
