British Railways AM8 (British Rail Class 308) 25kV AC 4 car EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) 148 working an 8 car British Railways Clacton on Sea- London Liverpool Street service train on July 27th 1961 at Chelmsford Station on the Great Eastern Main Line in the County of Essex (UK).
The AM8 units were introduced on the Great Eastern Main Line in 1959 and some units remained in service as the Class 308 EMU on the West Yorkshire Metro railway until 2001.
