Class 37, 37025 'Inverness TMD'

58 year old preserved English Electric Type 3 Class 37 Co-Co diesel locomotive 37025 'Inverness TMD' as leased from SRPS Bo'ness Diesel Group for mainline use by Colas Rail and in British Rail 'large logo' livery working a Derby Network Rail Railway Technical Centre- Ferme Park (London) light engine movement just outside Attenborough Station in the County of Nottinghamshire (UK).

Still wearing its original (37/0) twin headcode boxes and 1973 TOPS number, 37025 was built at the English Electric Vulcan Foundry Newton le Willows and entered service as British Railways Type 3 D6725 on August 31st 1961.

The British Rail 'large logo' livery first appeared on a [Class 56] locomotive in 1978.

37025 was almost certainly heading to Ferme Park as Colas Rail contracted traction for Network Rail infrastructure parameter monitoring test train duties in the East Anglia region (hunch!).
