Class 47, 47853

Brush Type 4 Class 47 Co-Co diesel locomotive 47853 recently devoid of its Direct Rail Services (DRS) compass livery and 'Rail Express' nameplate stabled at Barrow Hill Railway Centre near Chesterfield in Derbyshire (UK).

Note the bogies and underframe pipework have been recently refurbished and the yellow end has been repainted.

47853 was built at the Brush Falcon Works Loughborough and entered service as British Railways Type 4 D1733 on June 12th 1964.
