Inside a rock hewn church, Bet Medhane Alem, Lalibela, Ethiopia in late December 2005. I had no tripod but the combination of dust and incense caught in the light was enough to encourage me to lie against a pillar bracing my elbows between my knees so that I could hold the shutter open for the couple of seconds necessary to expose the shot . I had to remove a couple of dust particles which unavoidably settled on the lens, but otherwise, this is not photoshopped - exactly as taken, with a Pentax Espio 150 compact 35mm, scanned from print to digital.
Reached 125 FAVES in May 2008 and 7000 VIEWS in March 2010 - Thanks to everyone who has visited, commented, invited and faved this over the last few years.
