Hover Heater
Just ran across this old snapshot from a house project. 22 years ago this instantaneous Ruud water heater (circa 1905) still worked--in spite of how it looks. We needed to have the foundation replaced in our 1899 Victorian home (which was then brick-and-mortar) and the entire floor had to be jack-hammered. Thus, the water heater could no longer sit on the floor.
The foundation contractor trussed the water heater up so that it would still function and we were able to continue living in the house through the foundation work.
