one of a series of photos i took for a human figure class. i used a webcam and a video processing patch i created in eyesweb [eyesweb.org] to create the doubling effect in realtime. the model asked me to email her the shots which was pretty cool.

 

i asked the model specifically to stand for this shot, and placed the webcam up on the ladder you see in some of the other shots.

 

i wanted to see the subtle movements she would make due to standing .. but she was such a good model that she reamined still as a rock. i was very impressed.

 

the other idea in this shot was to frame her as a caryatid like the ones i saw in greece when i was younger. the top of the frame she is supporting like a roof, and she stands at the bottom of the frame.

 

i suppose that 'caryatid' should be an alternate title.
