Gino (Stranger #32/100) (Explore 02/07/2024)

Meet Gino. So far, all pictures for my “100 Strangers Project” have been taken in Ghent, Belgium. For some reason, I keep returning to the “Hoofdbrug,” a bridge near the “Gravensteen.” This is also where I met Gino and his wife. The moment I saw Gino, I knew I wanted to make a portrait of him. I introduced myself and the “100 Strangers Project,” and Gino kindly accepted my request. Gino lives in Ingelmunster and was visiting Ghent to attend an exposition, a project of the art academy Sint-Lucas Ghent. He mentioned that this was the last day he would have his beard, as he planned to shave it off the next day.
